LeBron James Rocks ‘Out Of This World’ Leather Jacket During Red Carpet Premiere

There are two basketball players widely considered to be the Greatest Of All Time: Michael Jordan and LeBron James. It's hard to say definitely who the better player is, but it's undeniable that both have dominated their respective eras of play more than any other player.

What's not a hard debate is about who's the better dresser. Because it's LeBron. MJ's name might sell more signature sneakers but LeBron has gradually become one of the snappiest stars in NBA history – which is saying something, considering how fashionable the NBA is these days.

Just take this outfit LeBron wore to the premiere of Space Jam: A New Legacy on Tuesday. 'King James' looked casual but dapper in a John Elliott 'Leather Moto Jacket' from the LA designer's SS2021 collection; a colourful polo and black jeans; Louis Vuitton shades and a pair of Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market Air Force 1 sneakers.

A post shared by LeBron James (@kingjames)

The addition of the jacket elevates what would otherwise be a rather understated look (especially for LeBron). It just demonstrates how valuable a good leather jacket can be in a man's wardrobe.

This biker's jacket seems to be one of his favourite fashion items, having previously been spotted rocking it pre-game earlier this year. Although it seems as if these days LeBron spends more time driving expensive cars than bikes...

Space Jam: A New Legacy, of course, is the much-anticipated sequel to the cult 1996 live-action/animated sports comedy film that saw Michael Jordan appear on-screen alongside Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

Jordan was the biggest player of his day, so it only makes sense to have the sequel star the biggest player of today: LeBron James. The film is set to hit theaters in the United States on July 16th.

‘Stingy’ Airline Rules During Lockdown Labelled Completely Un-Australian By Angry Passengers

Jetstar is not known for its generous baggage allowance policy. But in a tale that is coming to be symbolic of this time, another dispute over being scalped for baggage (despite a sparse cabin) has one Australian passenger furious.

That passenger, DMARGE Founder and Publisher, Luc Wiesman, was recently on holiday. Upon returning to Sydney, however, from the Sunshine Coast airport, he was left fuming after being charged a hefty fee for excess baggage, despite the cabin being far from full.

Recent social media posts show Mr Wiesman is not alone in his outrage. A Tweet from Twitter user David Buchan-Swanson, posted on the 17th of June, complains of a similar issue.

Mr Buchan-Swanson wrote: "I've given up on Jetstar. The savings v virgin to be treated like shit are not worth it IMO (especially if you add luggage - virgin incl. baggage is often the same/cheaper than jetstar + baggage)."

Before you jump in and ask: "What did you expect," Mr Wiesman told DMARGE, "It's not about the money."

"I get the rules," Mr Wiesman said. "I'm happy to pay extras – but when it's clearly just a grab for cash then it's just stingy."

"I never thought I would become the outraged person at the check-in counter. Not over $65, never."

Everyone has their limits though: "We had our flight cancelled [due to lockdown disruption] and couldn't select a different day. Eventually, after hours on the phone, we could change the flight, for an $85 change fee."

Mr Wiesman said thanks to the original flight cancellation he had to purchase extra legroom seats twice (he told DMARGE he wasn't refunded for the first one). He also had to pay a ticket change fee of $85.

While rules are rules, Mr Wiesman said the experience felt stingy when not one concession was made at any of the little opportunities the airline had to throw him a bone, after cancelling his original flight and charging him a change fee (in a context where both Qantas and Virgin Australia are letting passengers change dates for free).

"Other airlines are not doing that [charging passengers for changing dates]."

Mr Wiesman said he found this strange during a time he thought Jetstar would want to make passengers feel good about flying again (and convince Australian passengers they had made the right choice opting for them over Virgin – something Mr Wiesman tells DMARGE he won't be doing again).

"They missed out on the little things that could be done to make passengers flying at this time feel special."

"In a situation where travel plans are thrown into chaos, and passengers are spending a long time changing accommodation and flights, there has to be some leeway," Mr Wiesman said.

"On full flights where people are clearly taking the piss with hand luggage it makes sense to charge accordingly. But to be charged extra on an empty flight is bloody unAustralian."

[caption id="attachment_294588" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Image Credit: Luc Wiesman[/caption]

"What's most frustrating is how poor Jetstar's sales infrastructure is to support cancellations and changes. We were never refunded for extra legroom seats on the cancelled flight. We purchased them a second time, only to not have any record of them at the airport."

Many passengers have decided lately that the new 'middle market' version of Virgin Australia, which has emerged since the airline went into (then came out of) administration last year, is a better choice for affordable travel than Jetstar.

There is also a mountain of Tweets, both recent and historic, which show Australian passengers complaining about Jetstar.

One user, Amber Matthews, wrote on the 30th of May: "Will never fly Jetstar again, have always been warned they’re cheap but when travelling with friends they fit everyone’s budget... however this is the last strike, paid over $500 to change these flights already! You’d think this time they’d take some of the weight."

Various other users have aired their complaints on Twitter too, as you can see below.

Though their gripes ring true, it is worth pointing out every airline in the world, Virgin Australia included, has a bunch of complaints levelled against them online. It's just what angry passengers do.

The problem? Airlines know they can get away with it, hence the 'race to the bottom.'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWWtrW0oI1E

At the time of writing, Jetstar return tickets to the Sunshine Coast from Sydney are $106. Virgin Australia tickets, meanwhile, are $140 (with September being used as a month of comparison for both).

$34 well saved? You be the judge.

Sydney Sweeney Reaffirms Dream Girl Status Yet Again As ‘Secret’ Hobby Revealed

Normally, we'd consider fawning over female celebrities and holding them up as some sort of 'dream girl' cringey, ungentlemanly behaviour. But when it comes to Sydney Sweeney, well, who are we to argue with The Internet?

The 23-year-old actress and producer, known for her roles in Euphoria, The Handmaid’s Tale and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood isn't just dreamy, but incredibly talented. She's studying entrepreneurship at UCLA. She's a trained MMA fighter. She's even a stunt driver.

Now it seems she's also a dab hand at car restoration.

Earlier this year, Sweeney started a TikTok account called @syds_garage in order to catalogue her experiences restoring and modifying a 1969 Ford Bronco. Where most celebrities go out and buy fancy cars, she's doing it herself – mad respect.

While the account is not new, most of Sweeney's followers would have been unaware of it until yesterday, when she posted an image to Instagram showing what she had been getting up to on her (much lesser known) car restoration TikTok account.

@syds_garagegetting my bronco ready for the new transmission ##fyp♬ Aesthetic - Xilo

While she seems to have her own private mechanic on hand for some of the more fiddly stuff – and has apparently penned some sort of promotional deal with US car classifieds Autotrader – it's clear that she's a genuine revhead.

It's real car tragic behaviour to start a separate social media account for your project build... And the fact she's not posting this stuff on main shows she's not just doing this for attention. Besides, it's everyone's dream to get their build sponsored. She just made it happen.

RELATED: I Bought The Cheapest American Car In The Country… & It Was A Complete Disaster

She clearly has a thing for old Fords. This is the second original Bronco she owns, having bought a baby blue example for her 23rd birthday last year. She also shared her most recent automotive purchase on TikTok, too: an original Mustang she's named 'Britney'.

@syds_garagemeet my new baby britney 🥰💙 gonna start working on her soon! ##cartiktok♬ Oops!...I Did It Again - Britney Spears

Men around the globe have long wondered what it takes to get Sydney Sweeney's attention. Forget simping on Twitter; maybe the real answer is to go out and buy a Lincoln Continental Mark V and show off your skills with a spanner.

Speaking of car restorations, read more about how one enterprising British firm is resurrecting the classic Land Rover Defender – although it's not who you might expect.

Breitling’s New ‘Pastel Paradise’ Watch Collection Is Quietly Brilliant

Sometimes women get the short end of the stick when it comes to luxury watches.

Many of the world's most iconic timepieces don't come in women's sizes – take the Rolex Submariner or Daytona. Many women's ranges, too, are rather unimaginative: shrink the watch, throw some jewels at it, and Bob's your uncle. Boring.

Breitling's latest collection, however, does a bit more than that – and actually, is so cool that we can even see men ditching their prejudices against wearing women's watches for it.

The Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection (try saying that five times fast out loud) sees the Swiss brand's handsome retro dive watch decked out in a variety of very summery pastel colours that immediately evoke a day at the beach – perfect for such an ocean-focused timepiece.

The summer white, aquamarine, mint green, and iced latte references all feature tone-on-tone dials, bezels, and straps. The collection also includes a 'rainbow tangerine' reference with multicoloured indices, which is particularly unique. All feature Breitling's new quick-exchange strap system, which lets you easily swap out their luxe Saffiano calfskin leather straps, which also come in lemon and raspberry sorbet. Tutti frutti.

[caption id="attachment_294528" align="alignnone" width="920"] The entire Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection. L-R: rainbow tangerine (ref. A10340A11A1X1), aquamarine (ref. A10340161C1X1), summer white (ref. A10340A71A1X1), mint green (ref. A10340361L1X1), and iced latte (ref. A10340A41A1X1). Image: Breitling[/caption]

But the most surprising thing is the size of these new Superoceans: 38mm. That's on the larger end for a women's watch, but a pretty standard size for men. (The Superocean Heritage '57 collection is already known for featuring a wide variety of case sizes. You can even get one in 47mm – huge!)

It's a really interesting prospect and a bit of a masterstroke from Breitling. Men might scoff at wearing a 32mm colourful watch that might be more conspicuously 'feminine', but 38mm? That's no big deal. It's yet another eclectic and innovative move from Breitling's maverick new CEO, Georges Kern.

RELATED: Breitling’s New Super Chronomat Collection Is The 80s Watch Throwback 2021 Needs

It seems pastel colours for high-end watches is becoming somewhat of a trend. Last year, Hublot made a splash with its Big Bang 'Millennial Pink' Lapo Elkann collaboration, as did Rolex with its revival of colourful 'Stella' dials for the Oyster Perpetual collection.

Is this Breitling collection adding fuel to that fire? We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, find out more about the Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection at Breitling's online boutique here.

Tesla Cybertruck Rival Threatens To Change Camping Forever

With electric cars becoming more and more mainstream, it seems the next frontier when it comes to electrification is electric trucks and off-roaders.

Tesla has drummed up hype to fever pitch for its forthcoming Cybertruck. General Motors is reviving the Hummer brand as a 4x4 EV. Ford just revealed the F-150 Lightning. Even Jeep is electrifying some of its models...

Rivian is another major player in this space. Founded in 2009 by Robert "RJ" Scaringe, who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a doctorate in mechanical engineering, Rivian is focused almost exclusively on making rugged 4x4 EVs designed for camping and other adventures.

Their RT1 pickup is perhaps their most exciting vehicle. With over 482kms of range, 35cm of ground clearance and a 0-100km/h time of under 3 seconds (depending on your tyre choice), the RT1 is exciting, with hundreds of buyers already having put deposits down for the forthcoming beast.

RELATED: China’s ‘People’s Tesla’ Overtakes Elon’s Model 3 As Best Selling Electric Car

But the really exciting thing about the RT1 is its practicality – especially where camping is concerned. The ute boasts a huge 'gear tunnel' under the rear seats which can store a number of different modules, including a 'Camp Kitchen' module that looks to be a game-changer.

Scaringe took to social media last week to show off this new module alongside Rivian lead engineer Rachael Jewkes. If you're anything like us, this is absolutely jaw-dropping.

See how the Rivian RT1's incredible 'Camp Kitchen' works

It's truly a masterstroke. No need to carry around gas canisters, firewood or a generator; easy clean-up, extra space for gear... The Camp Kitchen module also comes with a 30-piece Snow Peak kitchen set, which is pretty bougie – you could truly whip up a feast. Filet mignon in Yellowstone, anyone?

What's really exciting is the possibility of other modules being offered for the RT1.

"Would love to see a water sport module for rinsing and storing wetsuits and dive/surf gear," one fan commented on Scaringe's Instagram, which is actually a brilliant idea.

In any case, it's a really novel use of space as well as an EV's battery capacity. It just goes to show how versatile modern EVs are becoming – and a powerful retort to brodozer-driving dinosaurs who reckon EVs aren't practical for off-roading. It's also seriously put the Cybertruck on notice...

RELATED: I Jumped Onboard 2021’s Most Cliché Travel Trend. It Was A Complete Disaster

This configuration of the R1T is available now for order starting at US$73,000, with deliveries beginning January 2022. Sadly, it's only available in North American right now... Hopefully Rivian offer a RHD version in the future.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Shares Smart Technique For Increasing Gains

No matter how much of his tequila you drink and no matter how many of his cheat day meals you smash, you can't click your fingers and look like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnston.

A physique like that takes serious time, dedication and genetics. 'The Rock' has also admitted to taking steroids briefly in his teens when he had no idea what he was doing.

Those days are now over though and the ex-professional wrestler and current action movie star is now a paragon of health and wisdom.

On that note, he recently took to Instagram with some fitness advice that could set you on an upward trajectory – potentially even increasing your gains significantly (so long as you don't go too far the other way and overtrain).

On Sunday The Rock shared the following video with his 249 million Instagram followers.

"We all need that re-calibrating and re-setting after a busy ass week," The Rock said. "So it's fine if you don't... but if you can find the time to do just a little bit extra [on a Sunday] it can give you an edge."

"It sharpens those tools that set you up for success... it's doing that little bit extra ... when most aren't."

He captioned the video as follows, sharing more insights into how to build this kind of balanced psyche: "If you can carve out just a little time on Sunday to put some work in."

"Nothing crazy, just a lil’ sweat equity."

"It’ll sharpen your tools and give you the mental edge for success the rest of the week."

“Be willing to put in the work today, that they won’t. So you can accomplish tomorrow, what they can’t.”

"Set your Sunday edge and then go wreck your cheat meals."

His remarks resonated with commenters: "Exactly what I needed after this busy Sunday," one wrote. "3am. Still gotta set my edge! Thanks for sharing."

Michael Phelps wrote: "For sure!!! Gotta get something in everyday!"

"Turning struggle into strength," another Instagram user wrote.

Other comments we reckon are worth plucking from obscurity are:

"Wishing, like excuses, are useless. We can’t get upset by the results we didn’t get from the work we didn’t do. Don’t wish, work. Results will follow."

"So true. I do love my Sunday rest... But try and get that little bit extra in when I can, to stay ahead of the game."

Looking through his Instagram account, it seems The Rock has made it a habit to provide his followers with weekend inspiration...

This attitude of going the extra mile, of going where others are afraid to go, and relishing it – but still being balanced – is also promoted by the likes of former navy SEAL David Goggins.

Podcast host, fitness freak and UFC commentator Joe Rogan also has some good advice to those looking to give themselves an edge and to increase their gains (or whatever fitness metric they are pursuing) on the weekend and that is to treat your workouts a little more like work.

90s ‘Pepsi Concorde’ Could Provide A Glimpse At The Future Of Air Travel

When the news of United Airlines' plans to re-enter the supersonic passenger jet game broke earlier this month, aviation fans were beside themselves. It's like the Concorde's coming back!

While it's nice to have some good news after a very tough two years for air travel, it also raises a lot of questions. The Concorde was discontinued because it was so expensive to run, and with the spectre of COVID-19 likely to hang around the aviation industry for years to come, how on earth are United going to make international supersonic travel viable?

Well, we might already have the answer – we just need to look back at what Air France was doing in the 90s.

[caption id="attachment_294454" align="alignnone" width="920"] Image: Wikimedia Commons[/caption]

In 1996, the drinks giant Pepsi decided they needed to raise the stakes in their endless war with Coca-Cola. So they came up with the brilliant idea to put their branding on the side of the most glamorous form of travel available, and reveal the outlandish livery with a very 90s, very excessive media 'do at Heathrow to boot.

Pepsi was the first and only brand to ever advertise using a Concorde, and it was easily the most expensive ad campaign of its time. The whole thing is a big serve of nostalgia – it's just so bloody 90s.

RELATED: Epic 1986 Julio Iglesias Photo Shows What’s Missing From First Class Travel

The campaign wasn't without its issues, as the video below reveals: the blue paint caused operational difficulties for Air France and it didn't really help Pepsi push any more cola. Despite this, we reckon high-profile livery deals like this might be a way forward for the aviation industry in 2021 (and beyond).

While commercial liveries on passenger jets are common in some countries – take Japan, where both ANA and JAL are famous for having all sorts of brands and characters on their planes, from Pokémon to Star Wars – it's a practice that's surprisingly uncommon, particularly on Australian planes.

But with the financial pressure of this pandemic likely to be felt by the industry for many years to come, getting more advertisements on planes might be a way for airlines to justify more frequent, cheaper services and help get people back on planes. In short, it could – and maybe should – become the new normal.

Some might argue that the fact that airline ads are so sparing makes them more novel and more effective as a form of advertising (and less on the nose for consumers). Do we want Airbuses to become like actual buses?

All we know is we'd be keen to try a supersonic flight for ourselves – and if a whopping great Contiki ad is going to make that happen for us, we're all for it.

American Strength Coach Reveals The Source Of Your ‘Mystery Back Pain’

Back pain is something we're almost all guaranteed to experience at some point, with Health Direct claiming 1 in 6 Australians reporting having back problems, and 4 out of 5 experiencing some back-related issues in their lives. There are many causes to back pain, with the vast majority being classified as "non-specific back pain", meaning the issues aren't caused by any particular condition (or the sufferer never gets to the bottom of it).

Instead, the most likely cause of back pain isn't anything to do with the bone structure of your spine, but rather the muscles and ligaments that surround it. Pain caused by these muscles can be brought on by lifting weights that are too heavy in the gym, picking up a heavy load from the floor the wrong way, sitting down for too long, or the highly common cause of poor posture.

Many of us are guilty of poor posture. We either slouch in our chairs or don't stand up straight while walking, for example, which when performed consistently over many years, will exert extra pressure on your back muscles. If they're not strong enough to support the heavy load your poor posture provides, you'll end up with a back back.

One simple test you can do to see how good or bad your posture is, was recently posted to Instagram account @spreadwhealth. While the video focuses more on shoulder mobility, that very mobility (or the lack of it) could be also affecting your back.

The video paints an incredibly clear picture of how we can all be susceptible to poor posture. The video is presented by Andrew Dettelbach, one of the founders of W Health. Andrew can speak from much experience, having suffered from a 10mm herniation – also known as a slipped disc – at his L4/L5 disc, the two lowest vertebrae of the lumbar spine and the area given the most responsibility for supporting the upper body.

Following a bout of depression, Andrew began to train his body in ways that felt comfortable, didn't affect his back injury, and which also provided benefit. It's this gained knowledge that makes him claim to be a reputable source for counter-acting common ailments such as lower back pain.

Though we'd recommend you see a physio rather than rely on internet inspirational figures for all your ailments, his test is certainly worth doing to check your shoulder mobility.

The initial test is to have you back against the wall and to move your arm up, so that you can see how good the range of motion of your shoulder is. However, as the video show, Josh, the guinea pig in this scenario, flares his ribs – and mid-back – and bends his elbow to compensate, so that he can get his shoulder above his head. Andrew explains how the body should be positioned correctly: bra strap against the wall, shoulder blades against the wall and ribs in. This positioning provides your actual max range of motion.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Whealth (@spreadwhealth)

Andrew explains that because Josh has been flaring his ribs out when he pushes overhead, even with weights, his core isn't at its most stable and so is "inefficient". It's also placing more pressure on the back muscles than is necessary, in order to lift the weight above the head.

"The core isn't turning off necessarily, it's just inefficient. It's not in the best position it could be. You're going to be able to drive more weight overhead when you're stacked with a natural pelvis."

"When [Josh] is lifting weight overhead, which is usually about 10lbs, he's going to be compressing some things in the spine, rather than using this whole cylinder as your base."

He further claims that you don't necessarily need to walk around in life with such a solid posture, but when you're exercising, it's incredibly important. A good cue to help you ensure you're as straight and stable as possible, is to imagine there is a puppet string above your head, pulling you upwards. Standing this way can help to reduce the amount of curvature in the thoracic spine (the upper back) and excessive curvature can induce a condition known as kyphosis.

In order to help improve your posture and subsequently eliminate back pain, you should always perform stretches before exercising – and even walking – and there's no certainly no harm in simply stretching each day, even if you don't plan to work out. Stretching helps to engage and prime your muscles, allowing them to strengthen through everyday tasks, such as walking.

So, perform the simple shoulder mobility test, stretch and you could be saying bye-bye to mystery back pain in no time. Now it's 'explainable'...

Tudor Raise The Stakes With Australia’s First Standalone Boutique In Melbourne

We might be in the middle of a pandemic but the Australian luxury watch retail space is heating up in a big way.

At the end of last year, Rolex opened a stunning new boutique in Sydney – their largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Other brands have been re-opening their doors and experimenting with interesting activations, such as Blancpain's rare vintage dive watch exhibition in April.

Now, Rolex's sister brand Tudor is getting in on the action. Teaming up with leading luxury retailer The Hour Glass, Tudor has pulled the curtains off a brand-spanking-new boutique in Melbourne – Australia's very first standalone Tudor boutique and a new must-visit destination for Antipodean watch fans.

"We're delighted to be opening the first Tudor boutique in Australia and New Zealand. Located in the heart of Melbourne's luxury shopping precinct on Collins Street, the new Tudor boutique offers watch enthusiasts an immersive look into one of the most exciting brands in contemporary watchmaking," The Hour Glass Managing Director Michael Tay relates.

[caption id="attachment_294368" align="alignnone" width="920"] Tudor fans will be pleased to know it looks like there's plenty of stock. Image: The Hour Glass[/caption]

Occupying the ground floor of Emirates House, the Tudor boutique exemplifies the sporty yet luxurious nature of the brand. Black and red feature prominently, a reflection of the brand's signature colours, yet touches of wood and plenty of natural light make it modern, slick and inviting.

A distinct photo wall featuring historic photographs of the British North Greenland Expedition and the frogmen of the French Navy reflects Tudor's rich history – with images of modern Tudor ambassadors David Beckham and Lady Gaga emblematic of the brand's continued contemporary relevance.

RELATED: David Beckham’s New ‘People’s Rolex’ Is A Walk On The Dark Side

[caption id="attachment_294374" align="alignnone" width="860"] Now that's a cool display window. Image: The Hour Glass[/caption]

In many ways, this boutique opening is a long time coming. Tudor has always been particularly successful in Australia – during the brand’s financial troubles in the 90s, Tudor was forced to pull out of many overseas markets, but its popularity in Australia helped keep the heritage brand afloat globally.

Rolex's new boutique in Sydney and Tudor's new boutique in Melbourne constitute a real one-two punch when it comes to the horological landscape Down Under. No doubt, other brands will be put on notice – it's definitely raised the stakes.

RELATED: Lavish Chinese Watch Show Has The World Seeing Red

The boutique's opening also nicely coincides with the reveal of the new Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze, which is a boutique-only, rather striking edition of Tudor's most popular model.

[caption id="attachment_294376" align="alignnone" width="920"] The Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze (ref. M79012M-0001) on both a fabric strap and a riveted bronze bracelet. Image: TUDOR[/caption]

This eclectic rendition of the famous dive watch follows up from the pair of precious metal models Tudor unveiled at Watches & Wonders earlier this year: the Black Bay Fifty-Eight 18K, constructed from yellow gold; and the Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925, constructed from sterling silver. Now we've got the whole podium, just in time for the Olympics!

RELATED: Tudor Unveils What Can Only Be Described As ‘The People’s Rolex Daytona’

Bronze, of course, is a rather interesting material to make a dive watch out of, as bronze is highly reactive than steel and develops a patina very quickly – particularly when exposed to saltwater.

But that’s entirely by design: the idea is that the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze will tarnish quickly and distinctively, meaning your watch is entirely unique. Bronze is also a material that is historically associated with ocean-going; an essential part of Tudor's brand identity.

If you're interested in finding out more about this boutique-exclusive Black Bay – or you just want to check out Australia's first Tudor boutique more generally – you can find it on Google Maps here.

Overseas Travel ‘#1 Reason’ To Get COVID Vaccine For 80% Of Australians, Study Finds

Forget community spirit or health concerns, the number one reason most Australians want to get the COVID vaccine is overseas travel.

That's according to a recent study conducted by Luxury Escapes, one of Australia's fastest-growing travel companies.

Released on the 20th June 2021, Luxury Escapes shared that after almost eighteen months of being grounded, Australians are itching to stamp passports again.

[caption id="attachment_294395" align="alignnone" width="920"] Image: The Warwick, Fiji[/caption]

But with few Australians having natural immunity to COVID19, "vaccinations remain essential to borders opening and quarantine-free international travel resuming," Luxury Escapes explains.

On that note: 80% of Australians said that overseas travel was their number one reason for getting vaccinated in Luxury Escapes' survey – something which used to just be a meme...

Once vaccinated, 87% of Australians say they would like to travel overseas, with 83% saying they believe vaccination is important in order for this to happen, the survey found.

When it comes to the top destinations bouncing around our brains, it turns out Aussies are pining for the UK, followed by Bali and then Singapore, Luxury Escapes says.

To encourage Australians to get vaccinated, Luxury Escapes has also announced it will give away $200 million in travel vouchers, with $200 going to each of the first one million Australians who start their Covid-19 vaccination program prior to 30 September.

Adam Schwab, Co-founder and CEO at Luxury Escapes says “Australians are among the keenest travellers in the world, exploring the globe is in our DNA. The fact that our customers have been unable to get out there and do what they do best, is something many of us are really missing in our lives."

The company also hopes to spark a trend. As Schwab added: “At Luxury Escapes, we recognise the crucial role the vaccines will play in ensuring borders open so Aussies can travel again. We hope that giving away $200 million in incentives to Australians who are getting vaccinated will give our vaccine roll out a massive boost and inspire other businesses to follow suit”.

This comes as various Australian cities, in the last week, have once again being plunged into lockdowns the likes of which many of us haven't seen since March last year.

If this has a silver lining, it will be that it convinces the vaccine-hesitant to have another sober look at the pros and cons of getting the jab. Something which coincides nicely with the government's recent announcement that any adult under the age of 40 can now approach their GP and request the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Pierce Brosnan Dating Lesson Every Man Can Learn From

We're surrounded by conflicting messages when it comes to finding love in 2021.

From one side we're told we don't need it – loving yourself is the answer (and more likely to make you more attractive to potential suitors).

On the other, we are led to believe success is one giant Ferris wheel of casual sex; that marriage and monogamy are outdated.

Then there's the third side – commitment and loyalty – which sometimes gets overlooked as it's not so flashy.

We're not here to judge which of those three suits you best. But a recent viral image of Pierce Brosnan is here to remind you that the third is still an option.

A post shared by Original News (@original_news)

Posted recently to Instagram account @original_news as well as a host more news outlets, aggregators and social media pages, the image shows Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith in a classic 'then and now' comparison.

Brosnan and Shaye Smith got married in 2001 – 20 years ago. Brosnan is now 68; Shaye Smith is 57.

Original News shared the image with their followers with the following caption:

"Pierce Brosnan, l'agente 007 e la modella Keely Shaye invecchiano insieme. Chili in più, calvizia, capelli bianchi. Loro hanno dimostrato che l'amore può tutto, anche più di quello fisico. Il fisico è temporaneo e l'amore è per sempre. Ricorda che come ti vedi, ti vedranno anche gli altri. Siate felici e non preoccupatevi per alcuni chili in più."

"Pierce Brosnan, Agent 007 and model Keely Shaye grow old together. Extra pounds, baldness, white hair. They have shown that love can do everything, even more than physical. The physical is temporary and love is forever. Remember that as you see yourself, others will see you too. Be happy and don't worry about a few extra pounds."

One commenter wrote: "Dovrebbe essere la.normalità ed invece fa notizia..che tristezza questo nuovo mondo."

"It should be the normality and instead it is news .. how sad this new world."

Another said: "La prima foto è molto bella, ma la seconda è meravigliosa."

"The first photo is very beautiful, but the second is marvellous."

The photo was also shared by Instagram account @freeda_en, which wrote: "We often hear people talking about growing old together, but what does it really mean? Of course, for everyone it can mean different things, but generally speaking growing old together means accepting each other as we are: whether that means a change in appearance or picking up new habits."

"Moreover, any couple that grows old together knows that the way love and affection is shown changes from when we were younger. But, of course, this interpretation is different for every one and no two couples are the same. What we do know for sure is that we need to show respect for one another, as well as listen to each other's needs."

Similar comments appeared beneath this photo, too.

Though some couldn't believe their eyes ("really not the same people here," Instagram user @mellow_ela_solo wrote) many others were inspired by this everyday insight – and sad it was deemed 'unusual' enough to make the news.

"My mind is so influenced by weight loss or fitness success stories, that I thought at first it was an inverted before and after post. I sighed in relief when I saw that it was actually something meaningful," Instagram user @vegan.gourmand wrote.

"100% i was so skinny when i met my partner and lots of meds causing serious weight gain and 5 years later he still loves me just as much if not more," wrote another.

"This is love," another user commented.

Brosnan consistently updates his Instagram with glimpses of his marriage.

A mundane message we can all learn from.
